In our little corner, the Boho-chic and Naturalist style, reflections of the region’s spirit, are more than a fashion, they are a way of life.
We are dedicated to curating a selection of distinctive items, with a discerning eye for excellence and sophistication. We appreciate and support local, national, and international commerce, from small brands to artisans, bringing to light products that deserve to be celebrated and exalted. We hold a special pride in our self-produced items, some of which are crafted from scratch, while others are reimagined to add a unique touch. About the Founder
Hello! My name is Bárbara Baraúna Correia Ravagniani, and I am the founder and CEO of Duna Comporta. I started this venture in 2017 after returning from England to be closer to my mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. To prevent her business from dying, I took matters into my own hands, giving birth to Duna Comporta, a brand born out of love and dedication for my family and our village. I have been raised in Comporta since I was four years old, becoming a daughter of the land, and it is with great pride that I am part of this community.
I began my academic journey in Music and then in Fine Arts, but it was in Marketing that I found my passion, which at the same time helped me leverage my business. Therefore, I completed a Master’s in Marketing Management followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Media and Content Marketing at IADE.
Unfortunately, life takes its turns, and my mother passed away in 2022. The memories and all the love she always gave me remain. Also remaining is a piece of her in a business that would transform into Duna Comporta. Without her, none of this would have been possible, and it is for her that I strive to become a better person every day, with great determination to lead this local brand to the success it deserves. Duna Comporta is a tribute to my mother, and I hope it shines as brightly as she did in life.
